In 2016, Matt Hughes picked up his art supplies and created The Ethereal Visions Tarot—not initially for the market, but for Hope, his partner and fellow dreamer. Hope searched for a tarot deck that felt like home and found none. So Matt built one, a deck of light and line, inspired by flowing beauty and imbued with mythic reverence.
That love project became a crowdfunding campaign, that campaign led to working with US Game Systems, and then became a calling that produced more stories and art.
In 2017, Ethereal Visions Publishing was born.
